Remembering Miss Susan Harwood Styles (Smith)

Service to Surbiton High School 01/04/1970 - 31/08/2004

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Miss Styles passed away unexpectedly last August 2020.

Miss Styles joined the school in 1970 as Miss Smith, a newly qualified science teacher and she will be remembered fondly by many pupils who had the pleasure of attending her lessons in the Marjorie Jordan Science block.

Miss Styles devoted her entire career to teaching at Surbiton High School and rose up the ranks to become the first Deputy Head and, subsequently, Acting Head from 1999 – 2001.

We would love for you to share your thoughts and memories in the comments below.
